I just finished my first year of graduate school at Mannes School of Music and am looking forward to finishing my Masters degree out strong this coming year!

What is your favorite memory of CLA?
There are so many incredible memories at CLA! I had a wonderful routine of waking up every morning and running through the countryside with my great friend at the program. It was such a beautiful and inspiring start to our day by running through the crisp air in the green countryside and getting to connect with someone through a fun activity!

What was your favorite aspect of CLA?
I truly enjoyed getting to live and make music in a joyous community all the time. The experience of living with the other artists and getting to work with the fantastic coaches everyday is something I valued so much while being at CLA - it's the foundation of what makes this program so special.

How has CLA impacted your personal journey?
CLA has been a turning point in my musical career and provided a loving and supportive community of friends that will remain in my life forever. I am so incredibly grateful that this program led me to Glenn, as he is now my biggest influence, supporter and mentor. CLA brought me so much deeper to the understanding of the French language and how to approach any piece I pick up. Every coach at the program had such an impact on me and I left a more refined artist. CLA will always be in my heart wherever I go. It has been a building block in my development as an artist.

How are you continuing to create in this time of isolation?
I am challenging myself to learn new music each week and to virtually collaborate with the teachers and coaches who inspire me. Despite what is happening in the world, I am trying to remain grateful for this opportunity to focus on my craft and my art. We rarely have this amount of time to focus on just music learning and I am trying to utilize it to the best of my ability!
